Cloonturnaun holds a man-made underground passage within a rath, marked by a slab protruding slightly from the field surface seventeen metres to the south-southwest. The passage may have served as a hiding place, a storage hole or a private way of moving through dark earth when storms or enemies closed the roads. Whatever it was, people shaped the ground and left a visible stone behind.

Located in a rath (MA092-042). There is a local tradition of a Man-made underground passage in the rath, and a slab, which protrudes slightly from the field surface 17m to SSW of the rath, is said to be associated with the Man-made underground passage.
