Man-made underground passage in Cloonkirgeen

Twohig (1976, 28-31) recorded four-chambered earth-cut Man-made underground passage discovered 1973. Entrance shaft leading to Chamber 2, blocked at field surface by two stone slabs (possibly put in position after Man-made underground passage went out of use). Two construction shafts noted. Chamber 1: L 3.2m; W 1.6m; H 1.2m. Chamber 2: L 2.4m; W 1.3m; H 1.1m. Chamber 3: L 3.7m; W 1.4m; H 0.8m. Chamber 4: L 2.6m; W 1m; H 0.6m. All measurements are average.
