No visible entrance appears in the grass, yet the two stones above the mound still point downward like a address written for people who knew the way. The rath stands in County Cavan with its upright boulder and flat slab, waiting for the forgotten passage beneath to be remembered. What is missing is not the hole but the hand that first entered it and carried something back changed.

Local tradition refers to a passage under Clonbockoge rath (CV042-005001-). A high, circular, apparently natural mound (H 2m) surmounted by two large stones, an upright boulder (H 1.5m) and a flat slab (dims. 2m x 1m), may indicate the site of a Man-made underground passage in the interior of the rath.
