What is recorded here

Local tradition of a 'cave' in field known as 'Shankill'. Possible cemetery (LH008-086001-) also noted in this field. The precise location of this feature is not known. The above description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991).
