Burrow Field in Ballyhoolahan Middle holds a ghost tunnel beside its fort, remembered only through local story. The passage may have served as a hidden route, a shelter or a boundary marker for the people who shaped that land. Its absence from modern sight does not erase the labour, intention or danger embedded in its making. The field still carries the shape of what was dug, forgotten or lost beneath its soil.

Bowman (1934, 492) noted local tradition of Man-made underground passage in 'Burrow Field' adjoining the fort (CO022-14703-) field, though there was then no sign of it. Exact location not known.
