No visible surface trace remains in the Ballinlough rath, yet local memory preserves a stone-built passage hidden beneath a flagstone on its north-east edge. The chamber waited underground for people who knew where to lift the stone and descend into darkness. It is the kind of place that stops pretending to be ordinary, because ordinary people would have forgotten it within a generation.

In a rath (MA091-006). According to the local information there is a Man-made underground passage (MA091-006001) in the interior of the rath. The entrance was beneath a flagstone on the NNE edge of the rath and gave access to a stone-built passage. There is now no visible surface trace at ground level.
