What is recorded here

Ardahill is a possible rath where a man-made underground passage was discovered in 1964. It had four linked passages in a zig-zag and a small chamber, but no visible remains are left. Whatever life moved through that blue clay has vanished, leaving only the shape of its absence.

In a possible rath (CO129-021001-). An earth-cut Man-made underground passage, tunnelled out of blue till clay, was discovered here in 1964 (NMI file). It consisted of four linked passages arranged in a zig-zag fashion, and a NE-SW chamber (H 3 feet [0.91m]; Wth 5 feet [1.5m]). Much of the chamber was filled with debris spreading from its SW end but, from what could be seen of it, it differed little in height and width from the passages.
