In small plantation of trees to W of house. Indicated only on 1938 OS 6-inch map. Entrance now blocked up. Possibly same as Man-made underground passage recorded by McCarthy (1977, 251) as 'in orchard'; exact location not known. Consisted of several chambers (total L 9m), the first being stone-built (Wth 1.21m; H 1.8m); not fully explored. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
