Under the north-west quadrant of a West Cork ringfort, a collapsed chamber still hides inside an overgrown depression. People may have dug the passage to store grain, hide during storms, or simply reach the cool dark when heat pressed down. The earth took the roof back, but the hole remains a doorway into human cleverness and patience.

In NW quadrant ringfort (CO141-077001-). Overgrown depression probably indicates collapsed chamber.
