What is recorded here
Mud, fire and stubborn breath. I know this much because i watched it build. The chamber was small, the roof low, the doors thin. We called it a room for reasons i no longer remember. It was not a chamber of record. It was a place where a human body learned the shape of another world. That is all. The rest is measurement.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Lower Ballinderry Historic Settlement. Recorded period: C18TH/C19TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
