Gateway, extant 1902, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of rendered red brick Running bond diagonal piers having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping supporting wrought iron double gates with rendered red brick Running diagonal outer piers having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping supporting wrought iron gates. Now disused. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Longgraigue House.

A gateway forming part of a neat self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 15704028) with the resulting ensemble not only making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at an entrance on to the grounds of the Lonngraigue House estate, but also clearly illustrating the continued development or "improvement" of the estate by Joseph William Deane (1815-1908).
