Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, the standing stone at Lochorodale may have served a ceremonial or territorial function, possibly linked to early farming communities in Kintyre. Local folklore sometimes associates such stones with ancient druids or as markers for supernatural boundaries.
