What is recorded here

Loch Hunish is a coastal bay on the north coast of the Scottish mainland, composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in Britain, dating back over 2.7 billion years. These metamorphic rocks formed deep within the Earth's crust through intense heat and pressure, and are notable for their durability and the insight they provide into early Earth history.
