Lisnaquilla, Ballyveskil is a ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, commonly associated with ancient Irish settlements and, in folklore, with the Otherworld or fairy realm. Local tradition may link it to supernatural beings or hidden histories, as is common with such sites in Irish legend.
