Lismareada/Lios Mhairéada: A circular enclosure is marked at this location on both editions of the OS maps. It was levelled in the 1960s during land improvement operations. It was located adjacent to the E bank of the Weaver's stream and afforded clear views in all directions.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 690. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
