Red soil and forgotten walls. A circular fort vanished so completely that surveyors could only mark the site where it stood. Now a modern grotto sits inside the old boundary, replacing one chamber of wonder with another. The fairies did not leave so much as hand the address to someone else.

Lisheenroe/Lisín Rua: There are no surface remains of this monument, which is shown as a circular enclosure on the first edition of the OS map. On the second edition it is marked ‘site of’.
