Linear earthwork in Lissooleen

'The linear earthwork measures 50m in total length, although some small breaks in the bank, c.1.00m in width do occur. It has an average width of 6.00m, and an average height of 1.00m. This earthwork seems to be constructed of a mixture of earth and stones, and is aligned NNE/SSW. These may also be the result of burnt mounds being constructed on or against this bank. This earthwork would seem to have been constructed by piling up the earth from each side, although it is slightly higher on the western side i.e. the side nearest the river.'
