What is recorded here
Visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 472-3) as a linear fosse (Wth c. 10m; L c. 700m) on the S side of a WNW-ESE earthen bank and townland boundary with Carrowntleive, which is also the boundary between the parishes of Tisara to the N and Taghboy to the S. Situated on a low-lying, gently undulating landscape. An earthen bank (Wth 3.5-4m; H 1.3-2.2m) and hedge survives, but there is no evidence of a fosse, although it was known locally. It is continued to the SE by NW-SE Lough Croan (L c. 3km).
