Lincluden College

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lincluden College as College (medieval), Collegiate Church (15th Century), Nunnery (12th Century). Lincluden College, associated with a 12th-century nunnery and 15th-century collegiate church in Dumfries and Galloway, was linked to the veneration of Saint Mary and Saint Egidius, with traditions of healing and pilgrimage. The site's holy well and adjacent chapel were believed to offer cures for skin ailments and were frequented by locals for ritual washing and prayer.
