Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lewis, Callanish, 'tursachan' as Cairn (neolithic) - (bronze Age), Stone Circle (neolithic) - (bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic stone circle and cairn, dating to the Neolithic period with possible Bronze Age reuse. It is part of the significant Callanish complex on Lewis, known for its astronomical alignments and ritual importance in prehistoric Scotland.
