What is recorded here

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope, to W of avenue to Aherlow Castle. Excellent views E-S-W, particularly of Galtee Mountains to the S. Single upright conglomerate stone (0.5m x 0.15-035m; H 1.05m), sub-triangular in plan with the long-axis c. E-W. It leans slightly to the W. The E face is generally smooth, the W and N faces are slightly rougher. An enclosure, 'Ballagh Fort' (TS067-074---) is c. 85m to the NW. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
