Castlebank Park in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, holds a terraced garden buried beneath time and distance. Whether the stones still stand or only shadow remains, the shape suggests hands that climbed slopes and forced green life into order. A man may have walked those steps at dusk, listening for water or remembering someone who planted the first row. The park keeps that much even when forgotten.
