What is recorded here
Pair of concrete lamp standards, erected c.1935, with over-hanging heads and cross bars.
Located approximately thirty metres apart, this pair of concrete lamp standards are unique in Oldcastle. They are sleek and functional in design but employ much detail. Elements such as the tapering octagonal shafts and crane-like heads make them aesthetically appealing, and are representative of the design principles of their time.
