Lamb Island

Lamb Island is an islet in County Cork, Ireland. Perhaps the sea carved it into a small stone chair where tired fishermen sat to watch rain approach. Maybe the lamb in its name is a ghost, jumping from rock to rock when the tide changes. Imagine the island is not a place at all but a promise the ocean keeps making to itself.
