Lackabane Lios is a fairy fort in County Cork, a circular earthen ring overlooking the Shournagh River valley. It stands forty-four metres across with a two-metre bank and an eastern entrance, now half-swallowed by ploughed fields. The shape suggests human hands, but the quiet surrounding it suggests something older. Perhaps people built it, forgot it, and the valley kept the secret instead.
