Kisimul Castle, located on the Isle of Barra in Na h-Eileanan Siar, was built in the 15th century by the Macneil of Barra clan, who held it as their principal seat. It is important as one of the few remaining medieval castles in Scotland and a symbol of the region's Norse-Gaelic heritage.
