Four tons of stone still lean across the dead they buried, though centuries have snapped the chamber beneath. Macus Ó hEochaidhe dug beside it and found an arrowhead and scrapers, ordinary tools from the time when people first shaped wood and fire in that valley. The tomb has lost most of its shape, yet the capstone remains large enough to suggest how seriously those Neolithic people took the weight of forgetting.
Kiltiernan Portal Tomb is recorded as a archaeological place in County Dublin. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
