Kilnapastia is a children's burial ground above the storm beach between Blackrock and Seamount, where a small rectangular building once stood before time reduced it to a patch of visible boulders. The name itself, Cill na bPáistí, admits the cruelty and tenderness of the site: a place set apart for the youngest dead. Galway's edge still keeps that shape, holding a chamber the sea cannot drown and a loss the city has never stopped carrying.

Just above storm beach between Blackrock and Seamount on W outskirts of Galway city. This CBG, correctly Cill na bPáistí, is indicated on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a small rectangular building. All that remains today is a subrectangular area (17m by 10m) within which a number of boulders are visible (info. GBCAS Files). Not visited. A Neolithic court tomb; dates to the early Bronze Age period. Its location near the coast suggests it may have been part of a wider ceremonial landscape associated with early farming communities in the Galway area.
