What is recorded here
This kiln (112) is keyhole-shaped (dims 1.67m N-S; 0.5m to 0.95m E-W at N; max. D 0.2m at N) and is at the centre of the excavated area, c. 4m E of the central barrow (ME038-071001-). It had two layers and a large quantity of barley grains were recovered from it. (Rathbone 2009, 22)
