Kilmurry Grave Yard in County Galway is an unenclosed children's burial ground where set stones mark graves inside ordinary farmland. The land has been worked around it for generations, with a rubble mound rising from the west and a modern silage pit pressing against the north-eastern edge. The children remain buried beneath open fields, remembered through stones rather than walls.

On a gentle rise in flat reclaimed farmland. This children's burial ground consists of an unenclosed D-shaped area (22m N-S; 13.2m E-W) within which a number of set stones mark graves aligned E-W. A mound of field-clearance rubble surrounds the monument from W to N and a silage pit has encroached upon it at NE. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 4 September 2019
