Kilkieran Bridge

Single-arch rubble limestone road bridge over stream, c.1850. Random rubble limestone walls with rendered rubble stone rounded coping. Single camber arch with cut-limestone voussoirs, and rubble stone soffits. Sited spanning stream with grass banks to stream.

A small-scale bridge representing an element of the mid nineteenth-century civil engineering heritage of County Kilkenny while making a pleasing, if subtle visual impression in a rural setting.
