What is recorded here

Kilcanway Well sits in pasture c. 250m N of Blackwater River, enclosed by a stone wall 14m N-S, 8m E-W and 1.2m high, with water leaving through an opening in the S wall. The area is overgrown and shows no current veneration, though the official kind still calls it a ritual site. Perhaps people once drank, washed or prayed there before the grass took back the path.
