What is recorded here

Kilberrihert is a disused circular burial ground in County Cork where infant children were formerly buried. The low bank still marks a quarter-hectare disc of dark soil, quiet since before the 1842 survey. An ogham stone may have stood there when found in 1826, though no marker remains. Children’s names are absent, but the shape of the place keeps their small lives separate from ordinary forgetfulness.

Circular area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by low bank. Described in 1842 OS Name Books as 'a place where infant children were formerly buried'. Possibly where ogham stone (7961) was found in 1826.
