Kettle Crag is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340–320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of durable limestone strata that contribute to the distinctive geology of the Westmorland and Furness area.
