Detached double-height former Penrose Quay railway station building, c. 1855, having large round-headed window openings and ashlar chimney stacks; Penrose Quay Station was opened in 1855 and remained in use until Kent Station opened in 1893.

Built as part of the 19th century Penrose Quay Station, this building, although extended, retains much of its original fabric and character and remains as evidence of the location of the earlier railway station.
