In the shallow E-W valley of a dried up stream. A three-arched bridge (Wth 2.7m at E), enlarged at some time to the W. The arches (Wth 2.3-2.4m; H 2.3-2.5m) have cut stone voussoirs at W and E; those at E are inserted and the parapet at this side is an addition. There are breakwaters only at W. The underside of the arches have been repointed. Westropp (1913, 238) refers to 'the ancient ford of Corravickburrin (Cora mhic Dhaboirean)' at Kells Bridge. This is named 'Corravicburrin (Site of)' in Gothic lettering on the 1916 OS 6-inch map beside Kells Bridge. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 29 March 2017
