What is recorded here

Jordan's Castle was built by the MacDonnell family, Gaelic lords of Antrim, in the late 16th century as part of their expansion into the Down area. It is remembered as a key defensive and administrative site during the Gaelic resurgence in Ulster before the Flight of the Earls in 1607.
