What is recorded here
Templecarne, a small rectory near Pettigo in County Donegal, birthplace of John Kells Ingram on 7 July 1823. That modest house launched a mind which would bend mathematics, economics, poetry and library work into one life. Ingram carried Donegal water into Dublin chambers, where he helped found the National Library of Ireland and shaped economic thought. The boy from the rectory became a bridge between worlds, proving that clarity of thought can flow from the smallest beginning.
