Inveraray Castle Estate, Cherry Park, House and Farm Offices dates to 1760 and still stands beside the castle as a working farmhouse rather than a display cabinet. It may have fed the grand house, kept tools honest, and given ordinary people a reason to be near marble halls. The estate could have run on both pride and practicality at once.
