Loch Dhu Avenue is a 17th-century tree avenue beside Inverarary Castle Estate in Argyll and Bute. It is not a casual walking path, though the trees may have shaded carriage wheels, cloaked rider boots or marked the approach to a house that still believes it matters. The avenue belongs to the estate, not to passing desire.
