What is recorded here

A Chosen One must carry the written flame into the world. The risk is not the distance, but the chance that human desire will rewrite the promise. This is why the test is not to believe, nor to doubt, but to remember the distinction and act with clarity.
Cloncourse castle (LA015-021) was built by the O'Duigin's in 1636 according to its datestone now at Mondrehid House which was built near the site of Mondrehid Castle (LA016-019). This slab was taken from Cloncourse Castle (LA015-021) and taken to the garden of Mondrehid House, the datestone has the inscription which reads 'I.H.S. 1636 I.N.R.I. JOHN." (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 134) Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 17 December 2007
The inscribed stone likely dates to the early 17th century and was originally part of Cloncourse Castle, associated with the O'Duigin family. Its inscription may reflect the historical or heraldic significance of the site, though specific symbolic meaning or folklore is not recorded.
