Situated in a low-lying area. A circular enclosure visible on aerial photographs (GSI S 156-7). Reference to a moat here (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 133-4). No visible surface remains. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
