Scandlan’s name still presses against the north wall of Teaghlach Éinne, trapped inside a church built to exclude him. The slab lies sideways, denying the cross and perhaps the man, yet its letters survive the mortar. Exclusion forgot to erase the identity it feared.

This inscribed slab (L 1.15m; H 0.87m) is visible in the external face of the N wall of Teaghlach Éinne (GA119-020001-). The stone is in situ and it appears to have been reused in the earliest building phase of the church. It is set sideways and bears the following inscription: OROIT AR SCANDLAN.
