What is recorded here

On an E-facing slope of rising ground on top of a low hillock, in pasture with good views in all directions. Enclosures (TS043-009---- and TS043-008----) are located 430m and 600m to the NW respectively and a ringfort (TS043-011----) is located 290m to the S. This well-preserved ringfort consists of a raised circular area (diam. N-S 36m; E-W 31m) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth. 2m; base Wth. 5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m-2m), wide flat-bottomed fosse (base Wth 3m; top Wth 6m; ext. D 0.3m) and outer bank (top Wth 2m; base Wth. 4m; ext. H 0.25m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) at the ENE. The inner bank has been mainly reduced to a scarp while the outer bank displays good evidence of stone revetment of bank best visible at the N. There is a modern cattle gap in the bank at the S. A low semi-circular shaped platform (dims. E-W 11m; N-S 8m) defined by a scarp with a low, barely discernible, fosse is located in the N quadrant of the interior.
