What is recorded here

Indicated as included in a roadside wood to the N on the 1837 and 1929 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated just off the S-facing crest of an NW-SE ridge. Circular grass and scrub-covered area with some tree stumps (diam. 12.6m E-W; 11.2m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6-3.3m; int. H 0.1-0.4m; ext. H 0.5-0.6m) and an outer fosse (Wth of base 1-1.6m; D 0.1m at S to 0.5m at N), which is truncated by a NE-SW field bank at SE. It might be a tree-ring.
