In flat grassland in upland region with good views in all directions. Enclosure consists of a square-shaped platform (dims. 24m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-1.8m), fosse (top Wth 9m; base Wth 3m; ext. D1.8m), bank (top Wth 4m; base Wth 7m; ext. H 0.5m), outer fosse (base Wth 3m; top Wth 5m; ext. D 0.4m) and possible external bank (top Wth 2m; base Wth 4m; ext. H 0.1m) visible at S only. Possible causewayed entrance (Wth 4m) at SE, inner fosse, bank fosse and outer have been levelled at E and is not visible from N through E to S. Perimeter of platform has been planted with beech trees and monument was possibly landscaped as a demesne feature by the occupants of Wilford House located 300m to the NW. Enclosure appears to have been modified by occupants of nearby big house who may have remodelled defences of the monument.
