What is recorded here

In pasture, located on the top of a low NW–SE ridge with a fall of ground to NE and good views over the surrounding countryside. Slightly raised circular area or platform (diam. 7.5m N–S) defined by a low, raised internal lip/bank (Wth 2.3m at N, 2m at S; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.4m at N, 0.7m at S). The platform is compact and well defined; grass-covered, with hawthorn bushes grows on the bank at NE. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 20 December 2021
A Neolithic passage tomb; significant as a rare example of a circular raised platform tomb in the region, possibly associated with early ritual or burial practices.
