In tillage, on SW-facing slope. Depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map as roughly circular enclosure defined by hachured semicircular arc SE->NNW (c. 70m SE-NW), by roadway and townland boundary to E and by straight field boundary to N, which truncates site; arc shown as field boundary on 1906 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps, with small well/pond off centre to W. Levelled; low scarp visible to SW; soil generally darker in area of site; slight depression in interior may to be remains of well/pond marked on OS 6-inch map. Jones (1910, 53) recorded that 'a portion of this fine fort was levelled to make a boundary between two farms...It was 85 yards in diameter...', with '...a well in the centre...' and a possible Man-made underground passage (CO017-04402-).
