A marshy enclosed area S of the road east of 'Old Mill Bridge' (DU004-104----/ME034-042----) over the Delvin River marks the location of a mill-pond belonging to Tullog Mill (ME034-008----). The 1654-56 Civil Survey of Dublin described a 'mill pond' at Reynoldstowne (Simington 1945, 35). The watermill associated with this mill pond is the ‘Old Mill of Tullog’, County Meath.  According to the 1654-56 Civil Survey of County Meath the 390 acres of land at Tullog (Tullocke) were owned by the Lord of Gormanstowne and on these lands there was a ‘farme house and a corne mill’ (Simington 1940, 11). A description of the manor of Naul from the Gormanston papers (MS 44,346/5-8) in 1633 included two mills, a watermill to grind corn and a tuck mill (Tiernan 2008, 17). Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien
