What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Rathbrenan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a south-west-facing slope on a north-east to south-west ridge. A circular area thirty-seven metres north-south and thirty-four metres east-west holds an earthen bank one point eight metres wide. The interior rises zero point six metres while the exterior reaches one point two metres.

At the crest of the SW-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. Described as a circular area (diam. 37m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 1.8m; int. H c. 0.6m; ext. H c. 1.2m) with no visible fosse or entrance (Knox 1915, 297). It is not visible now at ground level in pasture. Rath site (RO039-034001-) is c. 10m to the SE.
